NOTT ART : Memories that connect us

“NOTT ART: Memories that connect us” is an open-to-all art social/workshop created to connect the vibrant fabric of Nottingham.

About the event

Through “NOTT ART: Memories that connect us” we want to celebrate Nottingham people and businesses by exploring different ways of documenting moments and collective art-making. In this event, we will create a small scale paper model of the city and share stories of our encounters here. We invite you to make notes of your memories and attach them to the paper replica city, beginning to map overlapping experiences and tangled lives.

Make art, connect and have fun.

Can’t wait to see you there!

Spaces are limited.

Meet the organisers

Running the workshop is a group of young Nottingham creatives currently taking part in Collaborative Future's work placement programme.

Chantelle Fagan-Clarke: Chantelle's creative practice plays with the building blocks of place and city; experimenting with how worlds are built, social and personal identities are performed and preservation of hidden stories. See Chantelle's work.

Mika Sawicka: Mika is a hands-on maker originally from Poland, now based in Nottingham. She finds joy in many forms of art and doesn't limit herself to one material. She is currently developing her portfolio of work in ceramics, textiles and rug making.

Taylor Riley: Taylor is a multimedia creative, poet, and writer from Nottingham. His passion lies in connecting with people, and with each new interaction growing a new understanding of oneself, the nature of people and the world. See Taylor's work.

Our three creatives have been supported by others in the Creative Future's cohort and the wider Collaborative Future community with putting on this event for you.
